Lamisil contains terbinafine. Once taken before treatment with either terbinafine or terbinafine, Lamisil works by stopping the growth of microorganisms which normally would grow normally until they have been able to use them for good or until they have been able to use them for a short time. These would normally be anaerobic bacteria. These would grow in the presence of oxygen. This would not work for micro-organisms which would normally live in the environment. Lamisil is a medicine or herbal product which is used to treat: -All types of fungal infections of the skin and nails. This includes skin infections of the scalp and nails. It may be used for fungal infections of nails. It may also be used for a fungal infection of the skin caused by an Escherichia coli. It is used to treat a wide range of fungal infections caused by an Escherichia coli. Lamisil may also be used to treat other infections caused by the following types of fungi: -An athlete's foot -An osteomyelitis -An abscess -A skin infection caused by an Escherichia coli. -An fungal nail infection -An infection of the nail caused by an Aspergillus species. -An infection of the skin caused by an Fusobacter species. Lamisil is available in tablet form and in liquid preparations, such as: -Lamisil tablets:- Take 1 tablet with or without food. -Take the tablet on an empty stomach for 2 days.- If stomach upset (such as upset stomach, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea) occurs, stop taking Lamisil and drink plenty of water. -If the infection is severe or lasts longer than 4 days, consult a doctor. Lamisil should only be used by adults and children above 6 years of age. Lamisil may cause or worsen fungal infections of the blood, lymphatic, genital, urinary, and respiratory systems. It can be caused by other medicines or caused by an underlying medical condition. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use:- If the nozzle is punctured or if the tube is blocked, stop use and see your doctor straight away. -If the tube is broken or is not visible, check the carton or label for a better idea of what you're getting. Symptoms include skin reddening, itching, swollen face, difficulty breathing and swelling of the face, lips or tongue. If symptoms last longer than 4 days or get worse, tell your doctor straight away. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these apply to you: - - - - You have had a stomach ulcer or a bleeding or bleeding disorder, or any other medical problem. - - - - You have had a cut or broken or damaged skin piece or had a fungal infection of the skin, especially a fungal skin infection which has spread to your groin area.- - - - - You have or have had any of the following medical conditions:- - - - You have asthma.- - - - If you’re pregnant. Apply Lamisil Spray once a day for 7 days
1. Clean and thoroughly dry the affected areas of the skin
2. Hold the bottle upright or upside down, and spray sufficient amount to wet the treatment area thoroughly, covering the affected skin and surrounding area
3. If you need to apply Lamisil® Spray between your toes, fingers or buttocks; under a breast or armpit; or in the groin region, cover the area with gauze after the spray has been applied. This is particularly useful at bedtime.

Precautions
Lamisil Spray should only be applied to the skin on the outside of the body. Wash hands thoroughly after application to avoid infecting other parts of your body.
While the signs of the infection may disappear after using Lamisil Spray for only a few days, it is important to continue treatment for the recommended period. If you use it for only a few days, you may not eliminate the fungi from the affected areas. As a result, the infection may return soon after you stop using the product.

Before using
To make sure that the affected areas of the skin are clean and dry, make sure to dry the affected skin once before application. This is normal for Lamisil Spray and the active ingredient, terbinafine. Apply Lamisil Spray at the affected area 7 to 10 times a day for 7 days.
If any of the signs or symptoms of the infection become after you apply Lamisil Spray, see your doctor or pharmacist.
Using Lamisil Spray for the first time may be associated with a small increase in the risk of mild burning or itching, especially at bedtime. As a result, avoid applying Lamisil Spray or the product to the skin on the outside of the body.
It is essential to continue using the product for 3 months after the last application to assess its effectiveness in reducing the risk of any fungal problems.
